Are you excited for Easter?
Toys: Spaghetti Dolls, Mr. Potato Head, Lace-up Shoes, Easter coloring picture (new outdoor colorful bouncing balls)
Circle Time: What is Easter?
"Why do we celebrate Easter?" We talked briefly about Easter being the day when we remember Jesus Christ and his life, death, and resurrection--that we will live again--like the hope of Spring, eggs, and new life--chicks, bunnies, ducklings, etc.
Easter egg hunt
Snack: Carrots, cucumber circles, sugar snap peas, dip, Rice Crispy eggs and sprinkles
Books: I am a Little Rabbit, The Golden Egg, The Night Before Easter
We did: Easter Basket Hunt, Pass the egg, Duck Duck Goose, Patterned eggs
I love teaching this beautiful age because the children's responses are so beautiful and pure. "I'm going to give an egg to Jesus!" "I'm going to paint Jesus on my egg!"
Signs of Spring: We saw a beautiful yellow and black tinted butterfly, budding roses, creeping insects, and loved sunshine.
Inside, we read stories about eggs and reviewed colors. We then reviewed patterns and created some of our own!
We made our rice kripsy treats in to eggs and put sprinkles on them!
